Learning From My Gambling Mistakes

I have been gambling on the internet or at real life gambling halls for a good many years. I have been taught, the craving usually will take a hold of you and you will not even notice it till you are bankrupt. Especially if you are on a profit streak. I have been through many hundreds of dollars in only a tiny period of time and even today, I will go a bit too far. It appears you are just enjoying yourself up till you make a choice to pay attention to your losses and the guilt sets in, and then you keep telling yourself "I can earn it back" ad infinitum. It does not work. Then you feel sick to your stomach and the more you attempt the more rapidly you give away.

When you find that you are in the black, STAY in the Black! When you begin to give away, do not convince yourself, "well just 1 more" and again and again, believe me, this tactic RARELY ever functions. Say you plan on betting on slots, have a number set aside ahead of starting your gaming. DO NOT exceed this range, regardless of how tempting. If you happen to win, put that in a different canister. Don’t spend your earnings at any cost. After you have wagered through your initial predetermined limit, stop. Back off, regardless if it’s on the net or at a brick and mortar gambling hall, don’t stick at the tables or machines. At all times keep in mind, there no doubt will be other days, another time. Clearly, this process can work for any game that you gamble on, be it bingo, poker, video poker, keno, twenty-one or any other casino game.

Remember, wagering should be entertaining not burdensome, nauseating work! If you aren’t enjoying yourself, you don’t belong there. If you cannot afford the losses, don’t ever begin.
