An Internet Wagering Glossary

Despite the reality that internet gambling is now a billion dollar industry, and endless thousands of additional bettors around the world log in daily to gamble at web gambling halls, there are still millions of newbies to the environment of internet betting who don’t as yet have a clear understanding of a lot of the catchphrases used in internet wagering, and gambling on athletics in general. However, understanding of these terms is indispensable to understanding the games and policies of wagering:

ACTION: Any style of bet.

ALL-IN: In poker, all-in alludes to a gambler has put all of his money into the pot. A side pot is set up for the gamblers with remaining chips.

ALL-UP: To wager on many horses in the same race.

ANTE: A poker term for allocating a required number of money into the pot beforeeach hand starts.

BRING-IN: A necessary wager in seven-card stud made by the gambler displaying the smallest value card.

BUST: You lose; As in chemin de fer, when a player’s cards exceed a value over twenty-one.

BUY-IN: The minimal amount of chips necessary to get in a match or tournament.

CALL: As in poker, when a bet equals a previously made wager.

CHECK: In poker, to stay in the match and not betting. This is acceptable only if no other gamblers bet in that round.

CLOSING A BET: Like in spread betting, meaning to lay a wager equal to but converse of the initial bet.

COLUMN BET: To bet on one or more of the 3 columns of a roulette game.

COME BET: In craps, close to a pass-line wager, but made after the player has ascertained her number.

COME-OUT ROLL: A crapshooters initial toss to arrive at a number, or the first toss after a number is achieved.

COVERALL: A bingo term, which means to fill all the spots on a bingo sheet.

CRAPPING OUT: In craps, to roll a 2, 3 or 12 is an immediate defeat on the come-out toss.

DAILY DOUBLE: To select the winners of the 1st two matches of the night.

DOWN BET: To bet that the result of an event will be smaller than the lowest end of the quote on a spread bet, also known as a "sell".

DOZEN BET: In roulette, to gamble on any of three categories of twelve numbers, one-12, etc.

EACH WAY BET: A athletic event wager, meaning to gamble on a team or player to succeed or place in an event.

EVEN MONEY BET: A bet that pays out the same value as wagered, ( one to one ).

EXACTA: laying odds that 2 horses in an event will finish in the exact same assignment as the bet – also referred to as a " Perfecta ".

FIVE-NUMBER LINE BET: In roulette, a wager placed on a grouping of five numbers, such as 1-2-3-0, and 00.
